Opening: a connected learning system
A luminous bird and animated networks introduce AVIAN: Adaptive Vector Intelligence and Network. The film moves from the scale of the portfolio into five stages of a learning experience: create content, observe progress, plan the next steps, deliver learning activities, and govern the system.
Inside the architecture
A connected map moves through thirteen tiers: foundational, content creation, infrastructure, onboarding, observation, planning, adaptation, validation, delivery, social, transparency, governance, and specialized capabilities. The map emphasizes how the parts contribute to an ongoing learning journey. Read the explanation of every tier.
The twelve clusters
- Airframe and Crosswinds
- The shared foundation and the checks that help keep learning decisions dependable.
- Airspace and Preflight
- Preparing course material and helping learners enter at a useful starting point.
- Avionics and Navigator
- Understanding progress and coordinating the next learning steps.
- FlightDeck, Copilot, and Contrail
- Learning activities, guided conversation, and feedback on a learner’s responses.
- Sentinel and BlackBox
- Governance, oversight, and control of organizational data.
- Embodied
- Extending structured skill development to autonomous and robotic systems.
Each name appears as part of the same connected system. Explore the complete cluster collection.
From the architecture to real settings
Eight cinematic scenes connect the architecture to potential applications:
- Special education: adjusting learning sessions to the support a learner needs.
- Multiple languages: connecting shared knowledge while practicing the differences between languages.
- Medical education: using fictional patient cases to practice reasoning across subjects.
- Legal education: a Socratic conversation that asks learners to examine and explain an argument.
- New-hire onboarding: focusing preparation on what a person needs to learn for a role.
- Aviation training: instructor-led emergency simulations and focused preparation.
- Government analyst training: learning in an environment with organizational oversight and data controls.
- Inspection drones: developing and reviewing skills across a fleet.
Across these settings, the central idea is to respond to what a learner has demonstrated, focus practice where it can help, and make progress easier to understand. Read the expanded application scenarios.
A body of invention
The film closes with the scale of the portfolio and an invitation to explore AVIAN. The portfolio currently spans 49 applications and drafts, 1,158 claims, 302 inventions, and 407 technical figures. Explore the portfolio or start a conversation.
